 | Demonstrate 5 judo techniques |
| I choose a mixture of techniques we do on a weekly basis, such as morote gari double leg takedown, and some new techniques that were new to the club. One spending some time looking at pure judo, I came across kinshi wazi, which are the forbidden techniques of judo. I hadn't come across these before so choose two demonstrate.
Uchi makikomi can be used when you try for ippon seio nage (one arm trapped shoulder throw and are struggling. This can be because your opponent is much large, or even shorter and fatter, or they are really leaning back to stop you throwing them. |

 | Demonstrate 5 karate techniques |
| Again mixing between some of the standard karate we do all the time and some new stuff. We don't do karate sparing as standard so was looking at karate sparing and take down techniques. Also, one of the karate take downs is very similar to the Brazilian ju-jitsu body fold take down, which was interesting.
Ippon kumite is one step sparing or effectively self defence from a set attack. Kamae is a normal fighting stance but with the hands normally front middle rather than kickboxing, boxing, etc which has the hands to the side of the head. Zenkutsu dachi is karate front stance with the front knee bent and the back leg almost straight.
NOTE - I didn't find standard YouTube videos for all of these. A lot of the stuff we already do and there is a cross over from standard ippon kumite and ju-jitsu defences from stepping punches.

| Show 5 ju-jitsu defensive moves |
| I have recently been through the krav maga syllabus with my elder children and have been introducing krav maga that complement our style of ju-jitsu well. So there is large amount of krav maga techniques in this section. The origins of krav maga comes from several of the Japanese martial arts including karate and judo, so many of the techniques are similar or variations on techniques we already do.
Several of the techniques are also are brazilan ju-jitsu / MMA.
Also went back to basics and looked at head twist take downs. |
